Melanie is a developmental editor and action/thriller writer from Germany.
She specializes in applying the Story Grid methodology to the art of writing graphic novels. She is currently working on a case study to show how the principles of story structure can be applied for telling stories that work through the art of captivating pictures, captions, and dialogue.
Melanie has traveled the world and lived in New Zealand, Australia, and Spain before settling down in her home village in Saxony, Germany.
I am writing stories since childhood. I have a friend with whom I'm writing a neverending story. And I wrote and published a thriller. But during that process, I discovered my love for editing stories.
And yes, I have jumped off a bridge. I was given drugs and I threw them into the closest garbage bin. I visited Nimbin and been to the Mardigrass, sober. I don't drink coffee. I don't smoke. I love chocolate.
I have a dumb and frightened cat and one that behaves like a dog. I love living in the countryside. I have traveled the world.
I have slept through an earthquake and through a tornado.
I used to work as a graphic designer. I did web development. I was stuck in the wheel of working for others.
But I know what I want to do with my life.
And you see it. Right here.
I love editing stories.
I love to help writers create their stories.
Because all of us have a story to tell.
